Launched by Yashaswi Fish Meal and Oil Company, the Karnataka Small Pelagic Purse Seine Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) is a strategic initiative to align the state’s fisheries with global sustainability standards. Bringing together government bodies, research institutions, industry leaders, and local fishing communities, the FIP drives responsible fishing practices, safeguards key small pelagic species, and strengthens the economic.
